"A great way to start your day."

Black Coffee is a hand drawn animated film. It is a detailed observation of making coffee. The plot is simple, no complicated story behind the familiar actions. Naturalistic sound frames the stylistically simple beginning and end of the film.

The core, much more complicated as a stylistic approach, breaks the idea of a pure presentation and lead the spectator into an illusionary world. The sound escapes the logic. Combined with the vision it breaks the illusion of reality and deeps the audience into an unreal and unexplained environment down to the bottom of a cup.

This is a film about making coffee. It is my subjective interpretation of the happening and shows my desire to turn banality into magic.
